What this policy covers
This policy explains how Four Seasons Tree Service, trading as Tree Loppers Perth, handles personal information collected through this website and through enquiries made by phone. It is written to the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
This is a referral website. Tree work is performed by independent contractors, and the most important disclosure in this policy is the one described under "Who we give it to".
What we collect
We collect only what is needed to respond to an enquiry and arrange a quote:
- Contact details — your name, phone number and email address.
- Job details — the suburb or street address, what the tree is, what work you are asking about, and anything else you tell us about the site.
- Correspondence — the content of your enquiry and any messages exchanged afterwards.
- Technical data — standard web server information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and referring page. This is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used.
We do not collect sensitive information as that term is defined in the Privacy Act, and we do not ask for or store credit card or bank details on this website.
How we use it
To respond to your enquiry, arrange an onsite inspection and quote, pass the job to a contractor who can do it, follow up about that work, and meet any legal obligation that applies to us.
We do not use enquiry details for unrelated marketing.
Who we give it to
Independent tree contractors. When you make an enquiry, your contact details and the job description are passed to a contractor working your area so they can contact you and quote. That is the purpose of the enquiry and the reason this site exists. Once your details are with the contractor, that contractor is separately responsible for how they handle them.
Service providers. Web hosting, email and telephone providers that operate the systems we use, and only as needed to operate them.
Where required by law. To a court, regulator or law enforcement agency where we are legally obliged to disclose.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not disclose it to overseas recipients other than through standard hosting and email infrastructure that may store data outside Australia.
Cookies and analytics
This website may set cookies to keep the site working and to measure traffic in aggregate. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; parts of the site may work less well if you do. Analytics data is used to understand page performance, not to identify individuals.
Storage, security and retention
Information is stored in systems protected by access controls and standard security measures. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We keep enquiry records only as long as needed for the purpose they were collected for, and for any period required by law, after which they are deleted or de-identified.
Access, correction and complaints
You may ask what personal information we hold about you and ask for it to be corrected. Call (08) 9516 2804. We will verify your identity, respond within a reasonable period, and where we decline access or correction we will explain why in writing.
If you are not satisfied with our handling of a privacy issue, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes
This policy may be updated from time to time. The version published on this page is the current one. See also the disclaimer and the terms and conditions, or contact us with any question about it.
Frequently asked questions
Who gets my details when I make an enquiry?
An independent tree contractor working the area you named, so that they can contact you, quote and carry out the work. That disclosure is the purpose of the enquiry. We do not sell your information to unrelated parties and we do not pass it to marketing lists.
Can I ask what information you hold about me?
Yes. Call (08) 9516 2804 and ask for access to your personal information. We will need to confirm your identity first. If any of it is wrong or out of date, ask for it to be corrected and we will fix it or explain in writing why we have not.
What if I am not happy with how my information was handled?
Raise it with us first on (08) 9516 2804 and we will investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can take the complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, which handles privacy complaints under the Privacy Act 1988.
